What would you change…..

Let’s play: How Could It Be Better….

Take a pic of whatever watch you’re currently wearing and choose one aspect that you would like to be different or improved.

I’ll start: this is a favorite of mine. The Nomos Club Sport Neomatic 42 blue. I would love if it had some brushed finishing on the sides to add a bit more character and detail instead of the fully polished case.

My Sinn 556. Love this watch, if I could change one thing it would be the 38.5 MM case size. I feel like 37/36 would be so perfect!

Hmm….agreed. That would seem to suit the design aesthetic a bit more.

I love brushed finishing, but on this Nomus, the polish finishing gives a lot of character to the watch.🔥

I wonder what this would look like with small seconds...

Learning this is polished all around makes me want it more 🤪

I have basically the same points you just mentioned ;)

Currently wearing my Casio DW-290. The only thing I‘d change is swapping the rubber strap with a smaller one😅😂

I'd like if this Vostok amphibia was actually a Patek Philippe perpetual calender

I would prefer another 50m of water resistance for some peace of mind but 100m is fine. The corners of the lugs are sharp like puppy teeth too - maybe hit them with a file, Tudor. The polished cases on Nomos watches steered me toward this Ranger as the choice came down to the two.

Today I'm wearing my Longines Spirit 37mm which honestly might be the most flawless of my collection... I'm going to say I'd like to see thickness under 10mm but there's really nothing else I'd change.

We should start a club!

Agreed full polish is lazy. For me on my GO SEA Q it would be a quick change strap/bracelet. The tolerances are so tight and the lug holes are so close to the top of the case it is easy to damage the lugs changing the strap.

Someday, Doug. Someday 😔

Wearing the SMP 300 GMT in my profile photo today. If I could change one thing it’d be the bezel action. The scalloped bezel - which looks great combined with the ratchet-ey and stiff bezel action make for a kind of unpleasant experience. I wish it had the action of modern Omegas - or even better Tudors, which have the best bezel action I’ve tried.

·

I'd change two things. I'd like it 39mm instead of the 38mm. And I'd like it to be 20 mm lug to lug instead of the 19 mm.

In total, only two mm off perfection!

The clasp edges are pretty sharp too.

The Casio GAB2100 Casioak. I would have gone with a positive display. That's all

BB36 ETA.

The only thing I would change, is adding a half link and a few more adjustment holes to the clasp, the rest to me is perfect

I would include the missing 6 (beveled) to the Nomos dial.

My Baltic MR01. I’d have the bezel brushed!

A Collected Man did something like this, but I’d honestly just want the bezel. It’s all polished and picks up pretty weird spots really easily.

I don’t know if it’s just the cheaper price point, but none of my other polished bezels have the same issue.
