Three watches I think about constantly.

Which one are you picking and why?

I voted C., not because I want one, but it's the one I dislike the least of the three options.

I like the Doxa Sub 300, but I prefer the Professional orange version.

·

That Certina is really nice

·

Three nice watches, but I chose the Tudor. The more a watch costs, the more conservative and traditional I get. That sort of rules out the Doxa even though I think it’s a cool watch. Not sure it’s a fair comparison, I believe the Certina is much cheaper, but taking that out I prefer the Tudor. Something about the overall presentation just looks to me like it will age better…like it will look more classic in the years to come.

I don’t think about any of these watches constantly but of the 3 my pick is the Pelagos. For me it’s design proportion of the bezel to the dial/crystal which I think is near perfect on the Tudor and just a bit of the Certina. Just my opinion of course - you could see it differently or not care at all. I say get all 3 and triple-wrist on your next dive. 🤙

I like the doxa look

·

Doxa, most distinctive. The Certina is a bit "meh" & I don't like titanium.

·

I longed for the first one on the list. But when I've put it on my wrist I've learned that watches in titanium are not my thing

·

The Tudor Pelagos could be the one watch if you never wear black tie. It is my humble choice.

I feel like you could make it work with a suit 🤷‍♂️

I was between the aquamarine and the Whitepearl. The Lume on the Whitepearl was the tiebreaker. If you aren't aware, you should Google it. It's sharp IMO

Haha someday I may own all three.

I want the Doxa for sure. So I'll have that one day.

Idk if I should get the Certina for 1/4 of the price of the Pelagos or not. I may own both one day, but for now it's for sure I want the Doxa, and figuring out if I should get the Certina or Tudor, or both.

I just got my first titanium watch and love it so that's how I ended up finding it. Just don't know if I should get the Certina or the Pelagos 🤔

If you do not mind the weight you should go with Certina

Of course but not a nicely fitted tuxedo, there has to be a few rules even for watch guys!

Best,

They should all be pretty light shouldn't they? The Certina and Pelagos are both titanium and the Doxa is carbon.

My opinion is based off of no actual research, just gut feelings to weights of the elements lol

Knowing me I'd probably still try to make it work if necessary, but I'd hope I'd have a better suited dress watch in my collection for that occasion as well.

Yes they should. I focused on Certina simply because I was keen on getting one. And felt heartbroken when experienced it in person (the light Wright). But its not Certinas fault. Its me 😟 So I would probably had the same opinion on the other two.

·

As much as I am a Tudor fan, the Certina looks the best of the 3.

I tried that Doxa on. Very light and comfortable! The fully lumed dial is pretty sweet, too. Still ended up getting another steel, though. Might have to get that one down the road.

Good to know! I constantly go back and forth on whether I should get the Black or White strap. I think I like the look of the White strap better but I think the black is more practical. Maybe get the white strap, sub in a black NATO occasionally, then save up and get the Black rubber strap down the road.

I also like the look of the white strap better. I think it helps give it some pop. The black doesn’t look bad, though.

I’d do the same thing and get both.

Currently have mine on the BoR. I love it but I want a rubber strap for the summer months. They are a bit pricy…

Yeah doxa knows what they have. I think most of that is paying for the clasp more than anything. Do you have a 300 or 300T? I assume in Whitepearl as well?

I have the 300 Professional. It won’t be the only one. I want a few other colors. 😆

You may be right about where the cost goes. The rubber is high enough quality and the clasp has a ratcheting dive suit extension. Same with the BoR on the 300T.

The BoR clasp on the 300 is just an old school folder.

If money is no factor, I think the Pelagos is a significantly better watch across the board. But if money is an issue, I’d probably go Doxa over Certina.

·

The Doxa has such a unique design that not a lot of other divers have, there's only so many diver designs so standing out in any way is always a plus

I've found myself leaning towards the Doxa myself as of late.... Now to secure the funds

·

A Sub 300 Carbon (either yellow or orange) and a Blue Pelagos 39 (whenever that gets released) are the only 2 watches I really want right now

·

The Certina feels like the Tudor but for a lower budget.

I've thought about stagging one of those. Assuming you're referring to the titanium DS action diver with the light blue indexes?

Yeah I'm not a fan of the titanium certina think buying a pelagos just makes more sense.
