7 timepieces that I hope to passed down to my kids someday.

I went back and forth picking which timepieces I should keep and passed down to my kids when the time has come. I know these aren’t your typical “heirloom” watches. Well, at least most of them are not according to some. but for me, all of these have a significant meaning. Whether it was a gift from my wife or a reminder of a certain stage in my career. I think I can write a book on each of every single timepiece on this pic.

Nice collection! Wife and I are headed to SF next month. Have a couple of good food recommendations? Not into fancy food...

That's a kick ass case of watches. What I like best is the story's you say they have. There's nothing better than a watch that has a meaning, some sentimental value or the idea it's getting passed on. I feel like we're in the same boat on that aspect. Wear them all with smiles. Congrats and Cheers!

Me too...adoption is an option

What a great collection, it would be great if you can give a run down on each watch they are all so interesting on their own but to add your experience with each watch that would be wonderful to hear

Not sure what type of food you typically eat. San Francisco has a variety of good restaurants to eat.

You should definitely try to hit the two most known for when visiting SF.

Soto Mare and the famous Cioppino

Boudin and their local peeps favorite Chowder :)

I’ll throw in Tony’s Pizza too.

But if you wanted to try a little Filipino fusion food I highly suggest visiting Abacà.

Enjoy SF! Please be very cautious not to leave anything visible in your car. There has been a lot of breaking in in the city. They mostly target tourists.

Those are all kick add heirlooms mam. Great job 👏🏾

Great set of watches. You and your children are blessed watch wise👌

·

Very nice! Your kids will love it. I’d like to hear about the story behind one of these watches.

·

Damn nice collection you’ve got

Your kids are very lucky

Hope they are watch lovers too

Also would love to hear their (watches) stories

·

I'm with LS9009. I asked my 45 year old son if he would like some of my watches and should I leave them to him when I sign out. His response was along the lines of 'no thanks, Dad, I wouldn't wear them'. He has two smartwatches.

Very nice watches, intelligently chosen. I am at the point in my life when the awkward discussions about my stuff and future ownership tends to empty a room. My family understand it is about mortality and summing up so they usually shut down the topic of my stash of gently worn watches. I have never viewed the 30 plus timepieces as a collection just objects that amused and enriched my daily life. Rather than wait for the conclusion that none of us can escape I have started to gift watches to family members at the usual appropriate moments. I actually get a pretty decent kick from seeing love ones wearing my watches when they are around me. A much appreciated birthday dinner for me at a local Michelin rated Italian restaurant a few years ago drew a comment from our young server that he had never encountered a table of diners all wearing interesting watches. My wife announced that the watches were courtesy of the old guy celebrating a birthday. Good luck with your plan leaving your watches to your family.

Couldn’t agree more! The happiness you get from giving to your loved ones is a secret only a few really and truly know.

Well done sir.

Can I be your kid? I’ll behave 🤷🏽‍♂️

If you visit the North Beach area you might consider Original Joes and Chubby Noodle,

I’d recommend a drive north over the GG Bridge into Sausalito.. Scoma’s Restaurant

If you visit the wharf possibly try Pier 23 resultant…great food and views in back sitting area

Fantastic collection. The meaning behind them makes them priceless.

I second the Scoma but i was kinda hesitant to recommend a little pricey side. I opted in to just mention typical “must try” when in the Bay on a travel budget price. (I guess that’s subjective) anywho, enjoy SF! Plenty of good restaurants that fits anyone’s budget.
