I want one for my Vostok, I feel the movement is underrated. Not beautiful like some higher end movements, but it has a very ‘get the job done’ sort of charm to it. Looks lovely!
Most of my exhibition cases contain an NH35a. Not the most inspiring machine to look at. This ST1901 however deserves to be put on display. It is stunning to look at.
A couple of mine
And a hand wound
The only exhibition case back I have is in a box with some spare links. It has been replaced by a solid metal case back on my Seiko 5. Good riddance to that uncomfortable glass.
I love an exhibition caseback. Here are my ones.

Totally agree with you,I have 2 Sugess watches with the St1901 movement & like my others are nh35a movement watches .
I have a mysterious code chronograph containing a meca quartz movement with an exhibition case back.
I will post a photograph
Totally agree, the movement is half of what I'm buying the watch for, and the ability to view it. Here is what I'm wearing today:
Yes I have a few, I'd put them on all mechanicals if they were available.
My only 2 automatic watches are both NH35s with display caesbacks. Granted they are not the most photogenic movements, at least I get a decorated rotor.
It's the little things I appreciate, ya know 😉
Open case backs for me are one thing I could take or leave, they're great and I own a few watches with open backs and faces and a few that don't and i love them the same
Love the open caseback on my vintage
