Zelos Mako GMT

Zelos decided to relaunch their Mako GMT! They release on March 18th at 11pm Singapore time.

I think the Meteorite blue or Vintage Black is the most appealing. They're well priced, considering the Miyota 9075 automatic traveler GMT movement inside their popular case design.

V glad they have minute markers on the chapter ring as the very first didn’t which made them a firm pass for me.

Be interesting to see how quickly these go. Not sure if they have disclosed volumes anywhere?

Same, but I was still happy to get a regular Mako.

I thought they were increasing production from 250 per version to 450. Not that it helped much; the Aventurine Blacktip still sold out in less than three minutes.

Damn them! More to lust over lol!

I own two Zelos drivers and will be passing on this. Maybe if it were in titanium as I have a weakness for ti watches. 😁

·

They have so many compelling designs, I just wish they weren’t so limited in production. Looking at some eBay offers it seems a popular brand to buy, drive price and hype up and then resell with tremendous markup.

·

Oh great, just when I had bought a new watch already

·

Zelos, IMO, has the microbrand market cornered when it comes to different material and/or colored dials.

And the QC on their stuff is top notch on every model I've seen in person! 🔥🔥

I'm actually surprised it isn't. Most of their recent releases were titanium and the previous Makos were stainless steel.

They increased their production numbers from 250 to 450 with the Blacktip. Hopefully they keep doing that.

I despise that, especially with the aventurine dials.

Right? I wish they'd just give us a release schedule so I can buy more of their watches! I was being responsible for awhile but went overboard this past week. Now I might have to skip this one. 🤦🏽‍♂️

I have the malachite version 👍🏽

This could be my first Zelos... 🤔

·

Is it just me or does the bracelet meet the case in a very awkward fashion? Probably some cost saving measure, but it looks kind of ugly to me.

·

the light blue and the black look especially good

They just need to space out their releases so I can afford them all!

It is weird looking but I spend all my time looking at the dial to notice.

I like the Vintage Black. The Sky Blue lost me with the yellow GMT hand. Same with the Eagle 2, it has a great blue color but the yellow seconds hand put me off.

yeah, not crazy about the choice of yellow (not a fan of yellow in general, so that's more my bias)

·

Kinda like the white one with orange accents as a summer watch

The Mako is a hit for me. I think the GMT thing is a bit overdone, now, though.

I travel often so I like the idea of them. I use my Casio world timer for that so it's not like I need a GMT, but it's still fun.
