Those that I have are inexpensive but I don’t think I would ever opt for a premium watch with such a finish.
I thought this was interesting as the watch movement itself isn’t that special and, though the case itself is gold, absent the Titanic provenance the watch would sell for c.$2k-$3k.
So as a trophy asset someone has happily paid an enormous premium just to own this one of a kind pocket watch.
My regrets mostly relate to pre-orders and Kickstarters.
I have learned my lesson and killed them off now.
There are enough great watches out there not to get involved in that kind of misery.
