It's too poetic, the watch of Titanic's richest victim now belongs to someone who got rich from FTX (legally, the WSJ says). I guess the new owner is not superstitious.

Not really from the Titanic itself, it was on Astor's body when they found him floating after the accident.
I thought this was interesting as the watch movement itself isn’t that special and, though the case itself is gold, absent the Titanic provenance the watch would sell for c.$2k-$3k.
So as a trophy asset someone has happily paid an enormous premium just to own this one of a kind pocket watch.
