@Mack37 's post on Mario Andretti's Autavia got me wondering: where can I learn about vintage racing drivers that wore racing watches? We all know about Newman's Daytona and McQueen's Monaco, but I would love to know about other racing drivers of the 60s and 70s and which watches they wore. Can anyone point me to a good book? Or any other good driver-watch connections you know of?

The blue dial version of the Seiko 6139 "Pogue" was famously worn by Francois Cevert

That's a great list. Love Regazzoni's suit in this pic!

This is a new one for me, I'll have to look into it more. Thanks! Cevert was a great driver, his time came too soon...

Wow, a lot more Heuers than I would have guessed. Thanks!
I'll throw another one out there... How about this shot of Dan Gurney wearing a Breguet diver at Silverstone in 1965?
Here's a few articles that I've read.
There's nothing too comprehensive here - decent reads though.
On The Dash are probably best resource that I know of, but they're pretty Heuer-centric (obviously!).

Mario Andretti also wore the Orfina Porsche Design Chronograph 1 in the late 70’s.

Check out John Golberger’s books. They’re all about who wore what in the racing world. 👍🏻
Before he was paid to wear TAG, Senna wore a Seiko digital Speedmaster
