Serica 5303 or Vulcain Skindiver ?

Good evening everyone, After purchasing my Baltic I am already preparing the acquisition of the future piece (the mental illness that we all share) These two possibilities are in the same price, specs and finish ranges. What do you think ?

I have a personal preference for the Vulcain (the bezel that fits into the lugs) but the dial and lugs of the Serica drive me crazy

Serica looks better

I'd have to say, the Serica is classy...

But there's just something on point about a good Skindiver.

Just my .02¢.

As an example, here's the Douglas Professional Skindiver II (Wolbrook). A Skindiver just has that cool retro, rugged vibe.

The skin is so slick she beats the f out the 65 of oris with her eyes closed

I love both but the looks of the Vulcain is more skin diver for my eyes than the Serica

·

I personally prefer serica. Have you tried both in the metal?

I tried the serica with the metal bracelet/milanese and it's fabulous, i haven't tried the vulcain yet because theres not so much vulcain ad near me

Yeah but the 5303 is not tought as a skindiver, she's way more bulky yet the two watches is precisly 12.2mm

·

Between the two - Vulcain. If the Serica uses a proprietary bracelet/strap and you want to switch out to a rubber or nato and you can't, fill in the __________

Also, Vulcain seems to be making a comeback and has a rich history. YMMV when deciding what is important.

·

I would choose the Vulcain, i like the simple design and the color scheme. In my opinion it is easier to wear and more versatile.

·

All I can tell you is that I tried on the Serica in the past and it blew my mind in terms of wearability. I have not tried the Vulcan, so I have no comparisons to make here.

·

Serica indeed

I know it's difficult, but pls try Vulcain in the metal before you pull the trigger. Sometimes we love a watch, but the feeling can be different when you try it on. Strange but true... good luck!

I tought that the vulcain is only available in a variation of leather and tropic but no stainless steel

Trying in the metal means you are trying the watch in person. Haha. Sorry for the misunderstanding

·

Serica.... Great (better?) specs out of the box and amazing style. Then the bracelet for the win.

·

eventually you will have enough, or at least slow down. Cheers!

·

Serica! It is a strap monster and the movement now comes COSC certified. And the lyre lugs are beautiful 😌

Did you have any issues with Serica customer service, DHL, or unfair import duties?

I was one of the first batches of the 2nd gen (COSC model), and when I emailed their support team regarding status, they responded within 1-2 days without any issues and were pretty transparent about expected delivery times. I don't know what the current policy is now, but I believe my order at the time had a 50 euro international shipping fee; I don't recall any other import duties. I got an email from both Serica and DHL soon after order was processed/shipped and the expected delivery date. I thought it was all fairly straightforward 😀
