First G-Shock Ordered

Guess we will see what happens?

I got the military style one because of the recent Avatar movie.  We all had Seiko's when I was on active duty.  I'm thinking this could go either way.

What's your prediction, keeper or flippin?

My guess is you will keep it. G-Shocks have incredible quality and are just fun to wear. I LOVE the two that I have, along with my regular Casios. In fact, I have another cheap Casio on the way that will get here Tuesday. I wanted something inexpensive that was all white for winter, so I picked one up for $25.

I've not tried this one but ana digi is always my choice. Or digital that clearly shows what mode you're in unmistakably. Many of them at a glance all the modes look the same which can be confusing if you're accidentally in the wrong mode.

I'd really recommend visiting a g shock store if possible because comfort can be very poor on many of them.. For me at least. The fixed strap angle and the stiffness of the strap and sometimes even hair pulling. The only way I can wear mine is really loose.

In the summer I love the g when it's super hot and sweaty because it's so loose.

But recently I started doing that with my titanium Casio as well so it's possible the g shock will get sold.

Plus the g shock light is a bit too bright. I might mod it if I keep it.

Keeper I guess its a mean military green.

I paid $99 so it isn't such a big deal if I don't bond with it.

You're right, ana-digi is the only possibility for me.  I am excited to try it out!

I believe it is always a great idea to have at least 1 G-shock in the collection.  It is the one you would go to for the toughest of demands/conditions. Having said that, it is just a matter of which one you could really bond with.  This one looks bad*ss! I love it!  Hope you'd be able to connect with it. 😘

If it’s unlike anything else, it’s probably a keeper !  And yup, looks bad*ss!  🤘

I’m constantly tempted to get a gshock but am resistant until I’ve tried a few on.  My tiny wrists may not work with them.

Unlike some of my crunch colleagues however, all my tool watches (all but 2 of mine are tool) get active duty, Irrespective of value.  if I didn’t wear my favorite watches during crazy sports or work, they wouldn’t get worn.  #nosafequeens for me

Hey, I just watched Avatar the other day. The military watch sure does inspire. But, I don't know about the negative display tho. I find them hard to read sometimes. But, I imagine we young folks still have pretty good eyes to make up dark dials.

·

My negative display g shocks are great out in the sun, and it's hard to beat a watch that shows current time while running functions, so welcome to the cult?

Thanks!  No doubt, the influence here compelled me to give it a try!

I'm not concerned, I going to wear it and see if I bond with it.  Old school style, no overthinking stuff because it is inexpensive.

My AD has TONS of Baby G's in a smaller size, you may be able to do one of those?

·

Isn't every collection incomplete without a G-Shock? My bet is you'll keep it, it's just a necessity to have a watch you keep around but don't care about.

I’ve worn my wife’s baby Gs on more than one occasion.

I ordered the bullbars, is there a trick to installing them?
