Credor

Sharing my Credor Twins.

Polished like the GS, but underappreciated.

Why do watch enthusiast ignore Credor?

I'm in love with the porcelain dial Credor

I am fairly certain enthusiasts do not ignore Credor. The challenge is, they are largely rare and few have the means to buy them. Hard to talk about something most never see.

·

You dirty dog! This is one hell of a pair of watches

·

Wow! Absolutely gorgeous

·

The left one, Noooo. The right one, Yessss

·

It's a really underrated sub brand that needs to come out of Japan.

Stunning, look a little bit Cartier - no bad thing. Both beautiful, the left being my preference.😍😍

·

As @AllTheWatches said.

The rarity is because it's mostly a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market, for the uninitiated) brand.

And seeing the price on them, it's understandable why we don't see a lot of them. People that aren't in sight of their marketing just have too many other options that are marketed to them.

·

Hard to find.

·

I am sure that being prohibitively expensive has also something to do with it.

Hard to find.

Agree, hard to acquire. Maybe when I travel to Japan next.

·

Credor makes absolutely incredible watches. Pretty cool variety amongst models they made 15-20 years ago too that can be purchased second hand at pretty reasonable prices.

These two watches you have are stunning! Thanks for sharing

I think design language turns a lot of people off. It can be the best polished and finished watch in the world. If you don’t like the design it’s doesn’t matter.

??? There are around 100 on chrono24 for sub $3k. Dozens sub $2k. The average grand seiko demands more on the secondary market at least.

·

Don't talk too loudly about Credor. I've been saving for a used one and the last thing I need is for people to realise how good they are and make prices skyrocket!

·

Agreed, so under appreciated. The Credor “alpinist” is so much watch for the money

·

I've honestly never heard of them, are they part of Seiko? How come when I google them they are extrodinarily expenses (c£35k to £50k, but a used one is c£1k) granted not the ones above. I just don't know much about them could you please let us know more

What? I have seen those watches go for up to 50k Dollars. Don' tell me they loose that much value in the second hand market.

I’m sure these arn’t the $50k models but yeah, their fairly cheap.

Wow , I never realized there is interested in Credor. The pictures don't give justice to how they look on the wrist. Many thanks 👍

·

Thank you. Eichi II is a big Wow watch

·

I love vintage Credor. I think they are underappreciated as they are JDM so don't circulate much outside of Japan. So many have bezels made of gold. All their quartz movements are high-end and fully jeweled. Def fly under the radar.
