Buddy's Grand Seiko. Hand wind, beautiful movement
Buddy wanted to get into watches and turned to me. People always said I was a bad influence. He got lucky with his first one from the auction sites, birthyear watch, hand wind 430/5722 movement in amazing condition. His wife is going to hate me now.

Little piece of trivia, this crown is not the original one for this model. The original ones were coarse knurled and made of plated brass. Since they often broke it is frequent to find this model equipped with a service crown taken from the later 57GS models (5722-9990 and 5722-9991) which I believe is the case here

I was just thinking the same thing 😅 could be a one and done if you get the end game watch first 😆 got me thinking though, I've not been looking for a birth year GS... hmmm 🤔
