Grand Seiko SBGR253 (no screwdown?), SBGX261 (no screwdown?), SBGA285 (38.5mm) all come very close. First gen aquaterras could be interesting if used is okay. Wempe Iron Walker 36mm is an option imo.

I‘m glad Farer won, and they would have been my #1 choice from the start. I‘ve grown tired of the vintage re-hash designs and love that Farer has its own modern design language. That said, Baltic has my favorite designs of the vintage-inspired brands.

Not allowing a G Shock would be the hardest compromise in any of these options.

Yeah, it’s not like it’s an Airking or anything (a watch I secretly love due to the charm of its disastrous design)

They got rid of it on the s&g models where it was a bigger issue. It looks okay on the sports models but was always an eyesore on the black bay 36 where it was just laughably big in proportion to the size of the watch. Hopefully they release an all steel version as the tube is the only reason I haven’t pulled the trigger.

Mine fall pretty evenly between all 3 categories. Mostly g shocks in the first two categories, Oris and Seiko in category 3, and all over the place in the last category.
