Best erverday Watch around 1000 $

Hey there,

Im looking for a good Go anywhere do Anything watch. A new daily companion around 1000$ to have something solid but nothing Im going mad about when I scratch it.

Im really into the Cristopher Ward C63 Seelander

Sammelthread - Christopher Ward C63 Sealander (Automatic, GMT & Elite) | Seite 4

I also like the GMT version.

Im starting my collection all over again and I startet it with a Seiko 5 Sport Diver and a Vostok Amphibia. Now I think an Everyday Watch would be a good choice I think because I don't really need a Dress Watch at the moment. Also a white dial would be cool so if you guys have cool proposals:)

I'll suggest something a bit different, a CW C63 with a white dial. 😜

In all seriousness, I don't think there is a better sub $1K watch out there for "everyday" wear, if you want something that isn't a pure tool watch. Next week Damasko is re-launching the DS30 line, so if you want an "everyday" tool watch I'd recommend checking them out.

If the design speaks to you, I would check out the nomso club line.    Great value on the preowned market and some of the variations easily dress up or down.

alright I see the CW C63 really is already a very good option. The Damasko is a little to tool or flieger Watch for my Liking. I'll still look into it :)

I actually didn't consider the Khaki automatic thanks

Yes I love Nomos and didn't think I could even begin thinking about it in that price Range

I'd check out the CW Cranwell and Sandhurst on a strap too.  Will come in under $1K with the current $125 off coupon code.  Both are solid everyday watches.  Both of these are COSC movements if that matters to you.

For $850 I like the Timex Madworn collaboration from their American Documents series.  They sell for $850.  I also like the American Documents collection for $500.  They are a go anywhere rugged watch and you will not even notice if they get banged up.  It's part of their look.

A couple of more just to muddy the waters...

The Serica 4512 is a nice looking field type watch.  You can get the crown on the left or right and several dials to choose from - I happen to prefer the Commando.

The Sealander GMT on strap is also under $1k with the code.  A GMT is a nice complication to have for everyday.

I would like to suggest the Seiko SARX055 aka Baby Snowflake. I own one for more than 1 year and it is one of my favorite watches. It is GS level for little less than USD 1k.

I wrote a full review of this watch here if you are interesting:

There are quite a few watches that came to mind that have white dial versions and can be found used ~$1,000 or less:

  1. Monta Atlas & Noble
  2. Oak & Oscar Olmsted
  3. Weiss Standard Issue Field Watch
  4. Archimede Outdoor Protect
  5. Hamilton Khaki Field
  6. Nomos Club
  7. Oris big crown pointer date Roberto Clemente edition
  8. Formex Essence
  9. Grand Seiko Quartz SBGX059
  10. Lorier Falcon
  11. Sarb035

Agree with @thiago and @rkovars above, but I would humbly suggest the Yema Superman Maxi Dial Full Lume white just announced. Around $1k, in-house movement, solid finishing.

The Flygraf is my current GADA I beat up at work and it keeps about +6-7sec/day.

Very good question!

My top 5 to take a look at:

Seiko SPB155 (200m water resistance, very solid bracelet, clasp etc. Great movement)

Tissot Gentlemen (100m water resistance, dressy design but beautiful)

Hamilton Khaki Auto (100m Water resistance, strap monster, very wearable dimensions)

Sinn 556a (200m water resistance, simple yet functional design, slightly over budget but with a sale/discount it might be possible to find for 1000)

Yema superman (300m water resistance, sport look, a little bit of a different choice)

All watches come with bracelets so have a variety of options regarding looks. Sapphire crystals, good wearing dimensions. Also, brands that will easily sell for close to retail if you come to sell the watch at some point.

Happy hunting

Spend a bit more and snag a Sinn 556 series.

Within your price range, with coupon code, you won't do better than a CW C63 or C65 series.

·

Well within budget, this is a GADA i could go for that I haven’t seen suggested yet: Baltic Aquascaphe

The problem with many of these is that they are sold out, especially the  Traska and Lorier watches, and micro brands can take a while to  restock. I would second the Damasko DS30. They are getting re released this coming week and there is a grey dial version that isn’t too “tool” watch. Plus the thinness of the case makes these pretty versatile pieces. I’ve really liked mine but I decided it was just a little too big for my slender wrists, so am selling it on watchuseek

I am getting my C63 on Monday, white dial with steel bracelet. But I am still considering the Formex Essence, beautiful and COSC certified, $1400.
