Radio-controlled watches

Can people recommend some good radio-controlled watches on a budget? I want to have one for the ultra-precise timekeeping and not having to worry about changing the date on it every other month, or the time going between summer time and standard time. I'm in the UK so should have a good atomic clock signal. My current thoughts are mostly Citizen, but they're quite difficult to find below the MSRP of £399, which I find a bit steep. A good perpetual calendar could be another option, preferably I'd like a quartz watch, I have enough automatics by now and just want something I can throw on and go.

You probably looking for a Casio G shock atomic?

Casio has a boatload of options. G-shocks and non G-shocks.

Casio WaveCeptor would be the cheapest, a step up is Casio Lineage. If you want to import it, Casio Oceanus is really worth the money. Citizen has some good watches too.

I think the Lineage might be it for me, Citizen looks good but I'm not sure if the watch is worth the £400 asking price (would be happy to be proven wrong though, gives me an excuse to save money 😂) and they're not easy to find for under MSRP. My girlfriend is going to Japan on a university exchange this summer, so I might be able to ask her to buy me an Oceanus depending what they cost in Japan.

G-Shock Men's Tough Solar Black Resin Sport Watch https://a.co/d/1qjEKHO

Don't know how more expensive it will be in the UK. If you know anyone, or can get access to Lakenheath, there's usually some on the Base Exchange shelf with the Casios.

Not hugely more expensive in the UK, Lakenheath is a bit of a way from me, out in Suffolk but I'm in Derbyshire, it's too far south for my liking 😂

If you are patient, you can find really good deals on Amazon. I got this Citizen that lists at over $600 for less than $300 on there. To me, it is a marvel of engineering and looks really good too.

I also have this 5610 I got off Amazon for $112.

Both fit the bill for what you’re looking for in terms of specs, but at different price points. I thought the 5600 was the perfect G-Shock for me until I ran across the 5610. I ended up giving my 5600 to a friend at church. He absolutely loves it. That goes to show how “perfect” differs from person to person and can change over time as our tastes change.
