Had the BBP and 16570 -- Loved the 16570, probably my favorite, but just a bit too valuable for my everyday taste. The BBP checked all the boxes: price, dial size, coloring; but the thickness just kills it for my 6.5" wrist.
I'm looking really for a sub 40mm, sub 14mm thickness GMT. What else should I be looking for? Thanks!

This meets your criteria...
However, I would actually go with one of these...
Although the SBGM245 & 247 are 14.4mm thick, they don't wear it. Tudors are slab-sided and look and feel thick on the wrist. Not so with GS. Somehow they use their case design magic to make them feel surprisingly thin.
Lorier Hydra SIII.
SBGN003. A wonderful watch. Under 40mm and slim!
Longines Zulu Time 39mm seems like it would fit the bill nicely.
40x47x13 (counting crystal)
Have to go with the Lorier Hyperion. I love this guy!

At $3,300 with amazing accuracy and finish its tough to beat the Grand Seiko SBGN027 (39mm).
CW C63 GMT. I posted a picture of me wearing it on the What's On Your Wrist today.
I guess I don’t qualify I’m over 40 and so is my Explorer ll 226570.
SBGN003. A wonderful watch. Under 40mm and slim!
Love this watch, don’t love the bracelet lack of adjustment.
Check out Breitling Chronomat GMT. Awesome and the bracelet rocks. Also the Grand Seiko SBGE225 is also a great 40mm gmt.
SBGM221
Venezianico Nereide GMT)

Oh… not seen that before. That really nice!! 👌
Check out the Nodus Sector GMT. Cool Caller type gmt watch which is different from the 2 of your current GMTs
Tudor BB Pro : 39mm, 14.6mm thick and GMT. It also has a quick adjust (toolless) bracelet.
Tudor BB Pro has a similar look at the original Explorer II which would be more expensive than the 16570.
SBGN003. A wonderful watch. Under 40mm and slim!
