Thank you everybody. It’s really cool how you all are so knowledgeable and passionate about watches. As I started my collection, I wanted to learn more and found this whole world existed that I knew absolutely nothing about. It’s been great learning about movements, traditions, the different types and more.
At the end of the day, I like wearing things that look cool to me. I like them interesting, usually a little understated until you look closely. Kinda like how I see myself. I’m easy to overlook but once you know more you appreciate more. And I believe this is true about all people. Learn their story and you’ll probably appreciation them more.
I am a watch wearer, much more than an enthusiast or committed collector. I believe someone can be 50/50, but most of us lean one way or another IMO.

I collect watches that I like to wear. I'm restricted to only two arms though so mostly they sit in a box.
I have a collector's heart and I'm always looking for something to collect. It wasn't always watches. Before it was comics, then first edition books, then car accessories, then watches. But I'm not a completist. i buy to wear first and decide afterwards whether they're part of the collection--but how do they wear comes first.
I chose “d “ because I consider myself a wearer/enthusiast but not a collector. In all honesty, I don’t have a clear understanding of the difference but I feel collectors are very knowledgeable and have a plan when it comes to their collection.
I like variety so don’t always pay as much attention to the finer details as I should, which includes redundancy in my inventory of watches. I am trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible out of pure interest, because it’s fun and to inform future purchases. That sums up enthusiasm for me.
Me:
I am a collector by nature and have a number of other collections besides watches, bur I do love wearing them. I think an argument could be made that anyone with more than one or two or maybe three watches is a collector to some degree.
Me:
I buy it - wear it - break it - buy another.
Not only watches, just everything really. Luckily my watches are built a bit stronger than say my phone or sunglasses.
My mother, sister and maternal aunt were hoarders. When I have built up enough, usually more than 15 or so, it starts to mess with me.
I LOVE learning about watches, looking at them and owning them but I won't have more than a few that I wear regularly.
I am not a watch collector but rather a watch enthusiast who likes to try new watches and sell/gift the ones that no longer hold my interest.
I don't understand the difference to be honest. I wouldn't buy a watch I wouldn't wear
I have a very large collection so I am a collector but I wear 2 watches even to bed so I'm a wearer as well

I like the Technics kits, The Unimog was a difficult one to build, and had to enlist my brothers expert Lego Skills.
I collect watches I intend to wear. They may not get warm all the time but I try to rotate them in.
