Moonphase complications under $2000

As the title says, looking for the best watches with Moonphase complications within a budget of $2000. By 'best' I mean aesthetically, not in terms of specs or value.

Edit - Looking for dress watches specifically, preferably with clean dials, don't like too many subdials cluttering up all available space.

how about this one?

Dial's too cluttered for me personally. Cool watch though, I can see the appeal.

·

Definatly Frederique Constant .

Always worth to consider their watches. FC has a superb quality for their prices.

The moonphase is easy to find within 1,500 and 1,750.

And I personally like their Breguet style.

Would say Farer Moonphase, but don't think they are available again until early 2024

Will put it on my list, thanks for the suggestion.

I'll have to save for a bit till early 2024 to be able to get one, so it works out fine. Unfortunately, I don't really like the case shape. If only they were round, I would put them straight on my shortlist. Will still consider them though.

I agree with you, it's the craziest watch in my collection😁.

Save up a little more and just get a Longines Master Collection Moonphase in 40mm. There are many variants with a black, white or blue dial which comes on either bracelet or a leather strap. Plus you may get a slight discount over the retail price.

So this is $2325 USD, so a little above your budget, but a beautiful watch.

So I won't be in your price range here, this is my sugess moonphase, hand wind movement, I paid 200€ for it (lighting isn't great but you get the idea)

Seiko has some vintage quartz AP Moonphase homages, I think TGV from Urban Gentry got it covered. Also, Frederique Constant makes some interesting dress watches. Look at older models, which are in a realm of Breguet and PP.

Ah, and don't forget Longines Master Collection, they are pretty affordable on a used market

Two Sugess moonphase models are actually in my list, the SU2108SK and the SU2528STRA. I've held back on purchasing them since I'm worried about servicing the movement later on down the line.

They are cheap so I could just replace them, but yeah. I don't know how their customer service is either so if I get a dud it would probably be a pain in the ass to refund or replace.

Damn, I'm usually not a fan of cluttering watch dials with multiple subdials, but this Seiko somehow comes out still looking strikingly elegant and classy.

The 28% import taxes/duties in my country would kill me on that one. I did say a budget of $2000, but realistically it's only around $1500 for watches I can't find within my country (spoiler alert: most of them)

The movement being quite known and widely available all over the internet, I don't think you'd have any issues with replacement, but I understand where you're coming from, mine has been running fine so far but I have heard about problems so you decide

Nobody shared this, but Baltany recently released moonphase watch, should be a cheap test drive version

·

Zelos for sure!

Do you like Swiss Army?

·

Oooh, almost. Just over the cutoff. Still doable?

7a48 series is nice too, fully metal quartz movement that can be regulated and serviced with a nice Chrono feature and date complication

·

Christopher Ward, Farer

Don't like the Farer Moonphase case shape personally

35 mm, much smaller than I prefer unfortunately. Looks nice though.

I like quite a few Zelos models, but waiting for months and possibly still missing out due to the limited availability isn't for me. Might see if I get one second-hand though. (If the price isn't ridiculously increased from retail)

I do have some reservations with getting a watch from an AliExpress brand but it's cheap so might check it out. It does look really nice for the price.

Case shape isn't for me unfortunately. If they made it in a normal round case, I would pick one up immediately.

This is a great watch.

Don't like the case shape, but cool watch otherwise.

I’d look at Farer. Retails for $1700. They have different color options too:

Agreed. My biggest concern about buying Christopher Ward or Studio Underdog.
