New Tudor FXD

Newly released today, what are your thoughts?

For me a simple dial and bezel colour change isn't too dramatic, though I like the new rubber strap option and think it is always good to have more dials with the snowflake hour markers as this is distinctly Tudor!!

I was "whelmed." Not over, not under, just kinda here looking at a slightly different version of watch that I think it okay.

·

May be I am too used to looking at my Pelagos. The bezel just look way too busy.

·

Massively underwhelmed… and I love Tudor

·

What's the difference?

What's the difference?

Black colour scheme instead of blue :)

What's the difference?

Unidirectional diving bezel instead of the bi-directional countdown bezel and it comes in black. The rest of the watch is exactly the same to the existing FXD.

Its a FXD for people who want to time pasta and other things in life.

·

Disappointed.

More useful variation of the FXD but there is nothing new other than a different beze and color. Atleast they could have gave a blue variant too along with the black.

Was expecting a Submariner reissue even though believing it is never going to happen.

·

Was really hoping for this color, with a countdown bezel. Oh well.

·

Still looks 👌🏻. Love fixed lugs.

·

Meh. I wonder if Tudor will follow Rolex example of keep presenting the same watch with tiny changes every few year.

·

So much meh from me. I was hoping for a new line of Prince Chrono Big Block watches - like the Only Watch edition.

I'm hoping for a polar black bay pro 🤞

I don't think so, I think the brand just wait for the bigger events for bigger releases

·

Boring release in my opinion.

Saw this too...

The squares on the dial make the snowflake hands actually look good. I'm not a fan of snowflake hands but I'm kinda into this watch

·

I had the Pelagos two liner and loved it. This new 39 Pelagos will be my retirement gift to myself =)

·

Um…ok…great watch I’m sure but…this is like watching Shaq shooting free throws (if you were rooting for the Lakers which I never did EVER - except when they played the Jazz back in the day, you see, I’m from Texas and…) Anyways

How bout a blue pelagos 39 guys? But no rush I’m perpetually blowing my watch budget.

·

Beautiful timepiece

·

How cool would this watch be if they threw on a dark green bezel? Just SOMETHING more than going from blue to black. Heck, even a more charcoal/grey bezel to give it a “ghost” look would’ve been cool.

·

The more I look at it the more I prefer it to the Black bays. I think because from a design perspective "I" prefer the snowflake with squarish hour markers. I was always on the fence for a BB58 I must say I nearly fell off when the pelagos 39 was launched. Although I really cannot justify another diver it just may happen.

·

Maybe my next “do it all” diver

·

I think that, out of all the watches made in history, this Tudor Pelagos is definitely one of them.

Truly one of the watches of all time.

·

It's fine, it's a perfectly handsome watch. And while that doesn't mean it's setting the world on fire, and people who love to kick the brand will get their kicks in, I think the flipside of the coin is that, as perfectly handsome watch, it's still miles ahead of many watches, which are just bloody awful.

·

Small tweak on a winning formula. Colour and bezel change means even more of a strap monster than the OG.

Only downside is that if you already own an FXD, probably not enough of a difference to justify getting this one too?

·

Same price as the existing FXD. Tudor compensated by increasing the price last week so the new one doesn't seem more expensive 😂

·

Neat

·

Thanks. I had heard otherwise and so I now retract that part of my statement. That said, I still prefer the blue version.

·

Since I saw a comment on the way this Tudor hour hand doesn’t tell the time but more or less takes a stab at what time it is, I can’t unsee that I’m afraid 😝

I was being sarcastic, sorry 🧐👍🏻
