Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
One day, I was just skimming through my father’s old travel magazines when I stumbled upon pages of beautiful timepieces. The rest was history.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
The Seiko 5 SNZG15JC JDM Version as it was bought in Japan.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I bought a Casio using Shopee (similar to AliExpress). Order took more days than expected to get to me. It was already passed the expected date of arrival so I opted for a refund, which they granted in full. A week later it arrived in my mail. Free watch I guess.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Take it real slow. It’s always better to buy watches in commemoration of an event or milestone! So, don’t just keep on impulsively purchasing watches just for the sake of filling up that watch box. Or, because a youtuber said you needed it. Think about it and make it a memorable purchase!
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Tudor, Seiko, Casio, Kuoe, Glashutte Original.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
A Lange & Sohne, Lange 1. It’s my grail watch because most probably by the time I have enough money to spend for it. It would already look better on me. As wearing a fancy lookin’ dress watch versus a sports watch I’m guessing, “ages well”.
