Timex TW2V54000QY Help?

Hi, I am seriously contemplating getting this watch as it seems to have everything I want and is pretty cool looking, I could buy it for £264 with a code, my question to the parish is, is there anything for the same monies or less I am overlooking with the same goodies that you know of? i.e an automatic movement, date, sapphire lens, and screw-down-crown all a must but am not so bothered it being Titanium,

Any suggestions or should I just go for it?

Great specs...great price...go for it!

Looks great!

·

Go for it man. Can’t beat that price for the specs. Here’s a review I saw a while back from a time teller. 🔥

An alternative brand might be the Islander watch brand at LongIslandWatch.com His Islander Brand Divers are clutch for the money. 👍🏽

·

Cheers for the feedback, that video has pretty much done the trick, I love the look of some of the Long Island watches but the customs fee's and wait would be a killer

·

I say this as someone that's not the biggest Timex fan: If this thing goes from "Join the waitlist" to "Add to cart", It's getting purchased same day. They knocked it out of the park with this model. Another watch along the same lines won't be easy to come across.

·

Totally agree with the knowledgeable crowd here! A great watch loads of spec and a good price. Plus timex is back at being cool again imo!

·

Tis done, you've all talked me into it😉

·

I’m also on the waitlist. It is a piece that checks all the boxes I need. Good luck, I hope they’re available soon.🍀

For reasons I don’t understand, it seems all timex watches are loud. The quartz ones tick super loud and this one according to reviews has a loud rotor. I’m often in sonically silent environments for work so this bothers me but other than that very specific issue this seems like a no brainer. Spec for €$£¥ is through the roof.

I was obsessed with this #timex watch for a good few months - then I kept telling myself "save for the grail, save for the grail" and I managed to remain calm 😜 but, with all that said, this is one phenomenal watch, and one I'll more than likely add to the collection. Titanium, 200m water resistance, sapphire, exhibition caseback, automatic, 41mm, legible dial that's still interesting to look at. AND at a good price, it's no wonder the watch is backordered. I think you know what you need to do mate 👍

Yes, the Boldr Venture looks fantastic and is still on my radar, that watch also has all the specs and looks I want, my only dilemma is I own and have moved on so many watches with the NH35 movement, my ADDIESDIVE has the same movement and only costs around £80 new, so I'm giving Miyota a go, I hope I wont regret it!, the Seiko 5 is great but no sapphire or screw-crown.

·

Hi, just looked back on TimexUK and it says they still have 5 left

·

Deoending on the movement you may want a Boldr but if you got a good deal for it I'd say go for the Timex.

·

+1

looks great

go for it!

·

Apart from the movement, the watch has solid specs and value for a titanium field watch.

Just be aware the Miyota 8 series movement can be loud and the second hands stuttering issues may occur.

·

When I saw this watch in a post from Timex on Instagram, I was actually very impressed. They have read the room, so to speak, and are delivering to the market the things watch enthusiasts really want.

·

It is a terrific piece. It does everything it is supposed to do and the price is right..buy it if it fits your needs.

·

LOVE this watch....but hoping they make a 38mm soon.

·

Wanting this one but a waiting list for it.

·

Don't be like my wife who continues to shop after she has found what she needs.

·

It is a handsome enough piece. Just remember that titanium can wear hard if it doesn't have a good coating on it. Bascially, it can get scratched and dented fairly easily but a good coating helps a lot.

We'll see how it goes, I'm pretty good with my Dremel type tool with polishing etc if I need to, Hope it wont come to that,😮
