My last acquisition : Khaki field on the metal bracelet

For my 20th birthday I bought the hamilton Kakhi field mechanical (38mm) on the metal bracelet and it is AWESOME !

This watch is perfect for me. the good size for my small wrist. Also relativly thin. The texture of the case is perfect (I hate all-polish case). Good price too, only 550€. Respected brand and model with interesting history. The movement is reliable. Simple but beautiful dial without date (it's always better without date). Original bracelet in bonus...

I can't find default on this watch... And you, what is your opinion about it.

great choice!

The Kakhi field is real original that shows that good genuine watches don't have to be a luxury good of a few thousand euros. If don't wanna spend that amount for a watch don't buy fake watches (which some call homage, what a bullshit). Out there are amazing genuines that are awesome at a reasonable price, like Tissot, Mido, Junghans or Hamilton.

Thanks for sharing :)

And to the watch, it has a proper size for every wrist and has an amazing legibility. The ETA manual wind movement is also great, plus manual wind gives you another relationship to the watch than automatic. I also love that Hamilton brought recently this metal bracelet out, I am not a nato fan, because it adds thickness to the watches.

Nice buy and happy birthday!! Good way to celebrate. I totally agree with your no-date opinion, I love the symmetry of a no date dial.

Great choice and happy birthday! Take the time to wind it every morning - or evening depending on your preference - and create a bond that only a man and his watch can have. It is a reliable and versatile piece that at your age can accompany you anywhere you go, no matter what you do. Enjoy it!

They are solid little watches.  80hr power reserve.  Pretty accurate as well.  And with the free-sprung balance, likely to stay that way.  Enjoy!

I agree with you about the nato, 500€ for a watch on a nato... it's not for me.

Yes. There are only some rare model where a date complication is cool.

I realy like that it is a hand winding mechanical movement. It is my first and I prefer it to the other automatic models I have. These are cheaper (a vostok and a poljot) so the sound and the feeling of the rotor is not very good. The khaki field mechanical seems more compact / strong.

Great watch!

When I was deciding on what my first "educated" watch purchase would be after getting into watches the Hamilton Khaki Field (with the polished case) was a top contender with the SARB033 and the Tissot Visodate. I opted for the SARB033 however if this Hamilton Khaki existed with the bracelet it would be much tougher competition.

Happy birthday! It's a great gift

Happy birthday, and congratulations on the new watch! It’s a stunner.

If you ever get bored with the metal bracelet, I put these rubber straps on mine. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079WK4XQ5 I have these straps on all my 22 wide dive watches.

See how the rubber curves and hugs the watch with no gaps. Its a great strap for the price and very comfi to wear.
