It is my uncles watch and it's not been working for a while, it was a gift for his wedding been sitting in his drawer for 30 years i'd like to fix it and wear it.
I mean i've never fixed/restored a watch so it's going to be my opportunity to learn.

Okay after a quick search I found this, The watch was made in April 1972 according to the UK Watch Decoder website. Here's a link

You can look up a lot and I mean a lot of watches using this site and it seems from my experience it's fairly accurate.
I have own a couple of Seiko 5 Actus watches in the past and the movements ran strong for their age. You can, well at least in Australia and in Japan still get parts for them if it needs a new main spring and the like, as for crystals, shouldn't be an issue. It looks like it has a snap on case back as well so just need a case-back removal tool and your good to go.
Just take your time with and I'm sure you will be fine.
Great little watch by the way, definite classic Seiko which I love
Gosh I love this forum. Thanks so much.

Cool move Tony.
Gosh I love this forum. Thanks so much.
Especially after 5 minutes on Twitter. This forum is relaxing.
The numbers on the back of Seikos are usually the movement and model number. So this is a 7019-7080.
Friggin sweet watch whatever iteration it is🤓

You're a master sleuth, bud! 💪
It's a 7019 movement as others have said. If you go to this site..
https://www.boley.de/en/case-parts
You can put in the number and it will give you part numbers for crystal, gaskets, etc.
Clicking on the magnifying glass (image above) will give a more detailed breakdown.
If you want any advice.. just shout. I've done lots of 7019s. @Deeperblue wears one...😁

That response deserves a proper reply.
Well done, and thank you for introducing me to a new watch resource.

Your welcome mate, anytime 🙏
Cracking watch and well worth restoring. Actus was the Daini JDM designation and had more jewels (21 rather than 17). Once fixed, these pieces will run for ages. Everyday wear.
