Men and Women Rectangular dress watches...

So I'm looking for an affordable, rectangular men's dress watch, in a similar style to the Seiko Tanks pictured - BUT I have small 6 inch wrists, so the men's Seiko Tank is out of the question. Buying a vintage model will likely leave me with more options, but I'd rather buy something more modern for reliability reasons. I guess my question is, are there any recommendations for small, affordable, modern rectangular men's dress watches? Or should I go vintage? And would you ever consider wearing the smaller, women's derivative? Thanks for your views and opinions in advance!

Breda has nice rectangular watches, for example this one. Check out the other models as well.

Monofore has one watch in 35, 38 and 40mm. Not too affordable though.

The standard choice for affordable tank watch here locally is Dugena Quadra. It does seem to exist only in Germany.

At 38mm lug to lug, I feel like you could easily pull off the men’s version. But I will respect your preferences and maybe suggest just getting the ladies one; or is that one too small for your preference?  I think if I were in your shoes, and I realllllly didn’t want to try the larger one, I’d get the ladies version and rock the crap out of it!  “Ladies” is just in the name, and I hate to sound like a hippie but it’s just a label:  lady’s, men’s, frogs’s, dog’s, who cares! Buy what you think will fit.

P.S. my cheap rectangle is this 100 € Rotary, possibly my most comfortable watch.

Oris will sell you a beautiful and properly sized rectangle watch for just under $2,000.00. You can buy 15 vintage watches for that amount.

Check out Lip! French company with history and a lot of watches (square models too) for a very affordable price 👌

I have always wanted a Longines tank so I finally found one that I like. It is supposed to be a men's watch. I don't mind wearing a smaller watch. I have a Rotary tank that is small. Not this small. If you are interested I will sell this to you for the $100 I paid for it. LOL

You can get some beautiful vintage rectangular watches. Bulova is the first that comes to mind. But for something new, perhaps Hamilton?

I have a Seiko with an integrated bracelet that is too small for me (and I can't find links for). The 9020 Quartz module is still keeping great time and it is 100m WR... ~25mm x 32mm if you're interested.

You didn't mention budget but Cartier is my first thought.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm looking for something even slimmer I think.

Seiko SFP608p1 will fit you well! That Solar tank is sized like the XL Cartier tank not the regular solo.

Ah thank you so much for your recommendation. Size wise, this seems to hover somewhere between the ladies and mens solar tank models, right? I don't suppose you have exact lug-to-lug, width and lug width measurements do you?

Seems to be a 31mm lug to lug, 28mm w crown (25mm without) and 20mm bracelet tapering to 15mm, this is all from an'online ruler' as my calipers is at home.

It will fit you well, it's my most worn watch I own.

Thanks for those details. So... something just happened. I just found a similar model online and decided to jump at the chance... 33x25mm and 20mm lugs, ref v700-5k39- which should match a whole bunch of straps I have. £40! What do you think?
