Wow. I didn't know that 2001 is vintage 😉 But You cant go wrong with a Seamaster. I'm also surprised that someone this young is into horology 🙂 That is something rare!
I ha d the same idea with a birthyear watch. Got myself a Rolex 16234 from 2001 ☺️. I already have some omegas and didnt want another one from my birthyear so I decided to get the Rolex. Nice watch tho!

2001 Vintage lol. I think the word Vintage needs to be redefined. Taking into account the amount of time the watch industry has been around, or a particular brand has been around.
Who came up with the idea that Vintage anything has to be 20 years old or more? Vintage means different things to different countries and different items.
I believe "Vintage" as a stand alone word was created for marketing purposes. The older the item, the more it's supposedly worth based also on its condition. In the end it's about consumerism. The "Vintage" market was created to make money.
To me (because of my age) a watch made in 2001 is not Vintage. It's just 23 years old. That's all.

It's a lovely watch, but 2001 isn't vintage!
Congratulations on owning a watch this nice by the age of 23! 👌

Childhood?!? I was having children by then. 😂
I feel like doing a kanye west: I'm happy for you and Imma let you finish. But 2001 is not vintage!
I would ask your Vintage girl for a ruling
Yes.
We are super old…we were born in the 1900s
My Grandad wasn't born in the 1900's🙄... 1899
That is the coolest seamaster!
Modern = under 25 yrs old
Neo Vintage = 25-50 yrs
Vintage = 50-75 yrs
Running and shouting “the 2000 babies are out!”
Can't go wrong with a classic Seamaster 😎
I had that watch once, back in 2001. Haha.
I think to be considered vintage, the watch has to be pre-1980s.
Est. ‘93 me and the watch

Boom welcome to the club

That's lovely. Somehow better than the modern ones.
