I had that watch once, back in 2001. Haha.

I think to be considered vintage, the watch has to be pre-1980s.

I would also add something from Fujifilm, but $400 is a tight budget. Cameras from smartphones are so good now days, they are better than many inexpensive cameras. You should check out dpreview.com. They have a great database of cameras for research. Even for a decent used camera, you're looking at $200-400 just for the body. Some Fujifilms you can try is X-T10, X-E2, and for a bit more X-S10. Great camera and Fujifilm lens are highly respected. It's a fun hobby, but can get pricey. Good luck with your research.

Hmm. I would either leans towards a Seiko 5 field watch or a Tudor BB36 or BB58. I guess it depends on if I still want to know the day/date when the world ends. Although if it was a free for all and there was a store near that had it, I might go for one of the high end dive watches. I would still want something robust. :)

Watch isn't a priority when the world ends, but I think it would be good for the soul and would bring a little bit of joy when looking at my wrist.

Went snuba diving with a push/pull crown watch, with a 100m WR rating. No issues. Now days, I prefer a push/pull crown. Having the unscrew the crown gets annoying.

Agreed. Lug to lug length makes a huge difference.

Nice Review! I wore this as my daily for almost a year. Wore it while snuba diving. It held up better than me. Great watch, especially for the price. I think I would've kept it if it was a 36-38mm size. Since Seiko is releasing a 36mm version of the field watch, maybe they'll release a 36mm dressKX.
