I think the black birch is uniquely casual for grand Seiko. Most of their watches lean in the dressy direction, this one would look right at home in shorts and a t shirt. The blue is nice but the color clash might be difficult to match with outfits, if that is important to you.
I'd be ok with it if I'm confident that I'll be keeping it. If there were a decent chance is resell it I would want the full kit.
Agreed. I'm normally more of a bracelet guy but this strap came with the GS and it is amazing. The stitching matches the power reserve and seconds hand.
