I wouldn't buy a quartz Submariner. But, if Rolex came out with an original quartz model and made it readily available for $3,000 to 4,000, I would be interested to check it out.
I think it depends on what kind of Quartz movement they use. If they make a movement on the level of grand Seiko’s 9F, or citizen’s A660 or even better Cal 0100, I would be interested. The oysterquartz was pretty advanced at the time it came out. Right now I am just not a fan of the submariner Quartz or auto though as I just find the design a bit boring
Strong hypothetical question. I think $8K would be a bit much to swallow for a quartz. I’m not oppose to quartz (high accuracy quartz are great). I’d imagine the price point would have to fall in the $3K-$4K range.
Totally. Love quartz and the rolex quartz movement is a masterpiece. Also as previously noted - a Rolex will give you free batteries and kind of mini services for life.

Gonna explain my "no".
There's nothing wrong with quartz. I just don't like the sub.

I have absolutely nothing against quartz, most of my watches are quartz, but I wouldn't pay that much for one.
