How come Omega differiante itself by its looks

Rolex signature look is the cyclops on the watch.  Even from a distance, if you see the cyclops,  you kinda can tell right off the bat it's a Rolex.  I think Rolex should find something that stands out as well on their watches that will let people know from a distance it's an Omega.

I believe this would be a good marketing strategy.  Do you guys have any idea what could be added on a watch that stands out from a distance that is still semi useful?

If they made the horseshoe (I know it's a Greek letter) bigger, it would not endear the brand to me. In fact it would achieve the opposite.

Omega certainly does not have, and possibly never had, a cohesive (boring, uniform) design language like Rollie (where everything looks like a parts bin special). As ambivalent as I am about Omega, I don't think they should try to be Rolex. Cadillac tried to be BMW and succeeded only in alienating their core customers.

My Rolex doesn't have a cyclops, nor do the only models that I would consider from the current catalog.  That's neither here nor there.

SMPs & POs have the 10:00 HEV, but I hope that Omega doesn't extend that since it seems unnecessary for 99.999% of their customers.

I'm far from a brand/product marketing guy, but I think it's just a different strategy.  Omega keeps evolving their lines in a way that seems less conducive to instantly recognizable design cues.

Lyre/twisted lugs and scalloped bezel (on SMP) is pretty much their signature — particularly the lugs.
They are more modern in design, especially with the font change for the bezels that came in, which is probably why I prefer their look to Rolex.
