Old debate about what defines an entry watch. I feel there is an entry watch at every level. A $20 Casio may be an entry watch as your first watch. A Seiko or a sea-gull could be an entry watch into getting serious about watches. A $1000 Longines is an entry into luxury watches and so on.

My Seamaster was my entry into serious watches and my GS springdrive GMT my entry into an enthusiast category/genre of watch collecting. So a $3000 Otis is an entry watch, just not into the hobby.

I agree with you 100%. Never liked them. I like the original Casios for their retro look. Currently the Oceanus series (I have a S200) is my favorite Casio watch.
