How accurate is a Seiko 5?

Not very would be my immediate response. If it gains or loses <30 sec/day I am happy.

However, I have been wearing this little beauty now since I posted it on #wruw .

And since then it has gained... wait for it....2 sec!!😳. Obviously the conditions must have been perfect and it's a fluke, but still. That's pretty impressive.

My SNK361 runs at -2s/day but for such a bargain watch I too would be happy with 30s/day tbh.

Shame Seiko stopped making these amazing value propositions.

The beauty of the Seiko watch is the power reserve under 40 hours. Set it, wear it, gain or lose less than 20 seconds in that ~ 15 hour period. Put it away for a few days, power reserve runs out, repeat process.

As accurate as you will ever need during wrist time.

I had one of those and it punched well above its weight in terms of timekeeping.

Yes it is the same. Mine is currently on a jubilee but I’m thinking a more field watch like strap may be better. Jubilee is too blingy I think

No such luck here. I have three - SNK807, which is about 2 minutes slow per day, SNK375 which is about 2 minutes fast per day, and SNKK87 which is very accurate but has about 5 hours power reserve.

All three of these are beautiful little gems though, especially the SNKK87. So I couldn't care less. And accurate enough for my life.
