Watch trade

I’m considering trading my GS snow flake full kit and my omega AT papers but no box for a Gerard Perrigeiux Lauriato full kit. The lauriato if my dream watch and absolutely favorite design. Wonder if I’ll regret what I am giving up and should instead save money for the GP? Prices just dropped though and would hate to miss out on how cheap the GP is right now in this moment in time.

If it was me I would keep those two and find another route.

·

If you’re sure the GP will fulfill the space then go for it!

In future you can always get a good deal on an AT or GS. You even have the chance to go for a slightly different version of each as they come in so many iterations.

·

Im in the “keep what you have” camp on this one, but it’s not my choice. I would give it some thought though. Best to be as sure as possible, I imagine rebuying watches is a good way to lose money.

·

I’ve never been a fan of trading watches in or selling. I’d keep the GS and Omega if I had to decide.

·

The GP looks 🔥

·

I think you're mad, but you've gotta do what makes you happy. If it's your Grail & you've got a chance to get it, then absolutely go for it.

Good luck 👍🏻

Mad due to giving up too much value vs value?

Mad due to giving up too much value vs value?

No, I'm an Aqua Terra owner and fan & don't like the whole integrated bracelet thing. Personal taste difference 😉👍🏻

+1 trade 😎

·

Do it. The memory of the trade pieces will be enough.

·

I wish I owned a GP to be on the opposite side of that trade, I’ll say that much. Those are two bangers you are giving up.

·

If you wait some more maybe you'll get an even better deal?

Save money!! One step at a time, you'll get there 🙌

·

I was thinking that but was also thinking it could be close to bottoming out.

There for sure is something to that. I already own what I consider my grail watch. I was thinking the GP would be my grail 2.0 but one I could daily.

I would do the trade if its a grail !

“Grail” not so much. The watch pictured for attention in this post is my grail watch but I definitely think the GP would be a close second and when I would wear a lot more often.

Yeah I get it. A lot of comments about how the other two watches are more versatile than the GP but I do have many other watches in the collection that will fill in for what I’m losing. I do love this forum so much. There are so much good positive thoughtful feedback versus other Watch forums. Your comment is particularly interesting because I’m currently wearing a Zeneth Chronomaster today and it’s a model that isn’t made anymore. I was about to explain it, but I realized I used that particular watch for a picture for attention. It’s not the most expensive watch in my collection but it’s my absolute favorite. One that I’ve wanted for a long time and one that I don’t wear very often because I’m worried about putting too much wear on it. But the reality is it’s my favorite watch. I love it to death and I need to buy some straps for it and just wear it more. I wore it today and who cares if it gets beat up because it’s my favorite watch and it is the one watch in my collection I won’t sell. I feel from a design aesthetic, and from a fit and finish perspective. That’s exactly how I feel about the GP. I think part of all of this is me wanting to slim down my large watch collection into four or five watches that may be expensive and may be considered “high end“ by other people but their watches I truly love and want to enjoy and I think I just need to get to a place where every watch in my collection I am wanting to wear every day. I want to wear my zenith more than I want to wear my omega or grand Seiko and I feel like the GP is going to fit into that category as well

Yeah, you’ve got to do it mate, if you have a large collection you’ll be fine. Go and get that new watch rush! 😂

I'd definitely trade in the GS. That AT looks good but it's just an AT. Can you get an onys or copper dial GP?

Onys?

·

If it’s really your dream watch, then go get it and live happily ever after.

·

I thunk they all fill a similar do it all niche so I'd trade them in. If you have the option I'd keep the GS since it's a different vibe that the GP. I feel the AT is a similar slot in the collection

·

If you keep the the GS and Omega logically you will not regret selling them 🙄. Then why not have some ice in the stomach and wait for the price to drop further on the GP, and at the same time put money aside for the GP. That way you could have it all 🤷‍♂️I’m sure you can find occasions for wrist time for the GS and Omega since they are both beautiful.

·

If you have other watches that can fill the void of the two that you’re trading in for, I’d say go for it! Because if I’m being offered an AP RO, I just might trade 2-3 pieces of mine to secure that grail piece

·

I’m in the ‘less is more; quality over quantity’ camp; I’d trade the AT and hold on to the Snowflake — if cost is the issue, you’ll always be able to pick up the AT significantly discounted, especially on the secondary market. Given the dip in the watch market, the GP is a cut above both and I wouldn’t pass up the opportunity if it’s your grail — it’s less likely the GP remains this discounted in comparison to the others.

·

You can pick these up pre owned at pretty good prices… this is in SGD

Onys?

Yeah

·

Yeah there no way I would sell those for a royal oak wannabe

·

Why in the world does everyone say every single integrated sports watch is a royal oak want to be? It wasn’t even the first integrated steel sports watch. It was just the first one designed by genta

·

Go for your "dream watch".

If you love the GP go for it and don't take in betweens. Your 'itch' will never be scratched until you have the one you love/want.
