Hodinkee has one of the few articles I've read that mentioned anything about "production". Simply stated:

So hopefully they'll have quite a few to go around.

A couple articles like the one mentioned above mentioned, while it is not technically limited they will limit production. On the other hand, if it sells well, Oris will likely make as many as people will buy.

·

Starbuy Australia still have at least 1 in stock. If I liked silver watches... and had the money I'd probably buy one.. it's nice.

It's not a limited edition, that's why thy didn't published the production number.

I saw that article also , but im just wondering if it will be similar to the tudor BB harrods , not officially limited , but also a possible future collector item that may rise in value

they seem to be in stock in s few places , but I wonder how long for ...

It should be a limited run model for a certain time. Probably for over a couple of years or until they have a license from Disney.

I think they didn't make it LE because they have no idea whether they will be able to sell 30 or 3000 of them. It's Oris, they will probably make them until they run out of green paint if it sells well enough 😀

Thats a great point actually , I bet somone could find out how long they have the license for and then combine that with average production to work out the numbers hmmmm

I would look at it like this...

Oris would be paying to use Kermit's likeness. Unless it's getting an insane deal on that license and not having to pay much for it (which I doubt), there will come a time where it has to stop making the watch because it just won't be economically viable or, at best, they'd keep making the watch without Kermit.

So I would suggest, realistically, there will come a time where Oris no longer makes the watch - in its current form at least. And then, depending on how many are 'in the wild' to begin with (and that number could be quite large), the price will start creeping up. You see it already with the Tudor Heritage Ranger, for example. It was made for many years but, after being discontinued, and most NOS gone, and a new, smaller model on the market, people are starting to look back to that watch and the price is going up.

Thanks for reply , I have been hunting around to see who has it in stock online , and Im just wondering if I sent an email to Oris , if they would be allowed to see how long the license is for.

Kinda turned into quiet the fun investigation now :)
