Thinking about becoming a Paneristi

Was trying on this stunner today they wear so much smaller than they look

My rule of thumb is, if I can't see 1 cm of the strap on each end then the watch face covers my entire wrist and it's too big. In my opinion this is too big, but your wrist your rules mate.👌

The 40mm were almost the ones that got me be back into the brand. As I think that’s the ideal size (most 44mm & 47mm look to big for most wrists). However the case proportions are great but the dial isn’t. I find the sun seconds are too inwards on the dial.

If only they produced a base version in this size.

Think that may be the angle of the camera. As I believe that’s the 40mm version & 40mm generally fits most wrists. Agree on the seeing 1cm of strap each side & was told this by a sales assistant many moons ago. Althogh I usually apply that rule to dressier watches & make sure lugs don’t overhang the wrist on the ‘bigger sporty pieces’.

To be honest it’s smaller or the same size as most of my watches it’s only 41mm if I played by your rules the biggest I could go be a 35mm haha as long as it’s not over hanging my wrist it fits for me each to there own as you say

To be honest I like the dial it’s different and not the norm but that’s just the Italian way haha

Oh I love Panerai dials, but just prefer the layout of the manual wind ones, either base with no running seconds or sub seconds fully at 9, rather than the autos which have a date at 3 & sub seconds at 9, but far to inwards meaning the movement isn’t big.

Do it, Do it, Do it!!!!!!!

Yeah I get that I didn’t get a picture but i tried on the 40mm Submissible White dial that looked even better to be honest i never liked the look of them in pictures on line but in real life they are a lot better very tooly/ boaty like a port hatch

Haha they are out of my price range new to be honest sadly I could afford one but I wouldn’t feel comfortable spending that much money on a watch it costs more then what I paid for my car haha

I know I want to think they’re too big and I don’t like them, but they aren’t and I do. A new exclusive AD opened near me. Tempted . . .

·

Agree. Mine wears so very nice on my wrist too!

At first I was also like a lot of people saying oh panerai they are too big and thick etc. Tried them on and i immediately get the appeal. They are supposed to be big and thick but the case design with the curves makes them smaller and even elegant in some ways. Now i own a PAM 88. Buy it in the second hand market and they can go for a lot cheaper.
