Battery powered vintage.

Over the last year I've slowly grown tired of modern watches and automatics, too big and constantly having to adjust the time and date if you've not worn it for a while.i now tend to look at vintage watches and usually battery powered pieces, I've now got a nice collection of 4 pieces all with different movements.

Omega Geneve f300hz,king seiko twin quartz, sieko electronic el330 and a nice citizen quartz.

All in excellent condition and working perfectly 👌 love them ❤

That citizen is lovely, got a beautiful dial on it. Sadly vintage quartz is overlooked but it keeps the prices down 👍

Some stunning watches their sir, very nice 👍

Nice. Some gorgeous pieces there. I'm ok with the automatic/mechanical "high maintenance" but do think quartz is too often, incorrectly dismissed as inferior. I have quite a few including the Longines below... love them as much as any of my mechanicals

I think quartz def underrated, yes you got your cheap crap but look at seiko with the tuna now thats a fantastic high torque quartz movement, longines with their vhp movements super accurate. Pieces. Lots of amazing quartz watches out there, then you got the vintage quartz over engineered with jewels built to last years and not cheap back in the day. I do like autos and have a few but like the pick up and go of quartz 👍

I just buy a watch because I like it. Doesn't matter if it's quartz or mechanical. I do have a soft spot for solar watches, especially if they are radio controlled or have GPS. Let's face it you can't get anything more accurate than that. I am a Seiko SQ100 fan and have bought and refurbed a few. Have one for sale if anyone is interested?

Those Kings quartz were relatively expensive compared to the rest of the mechanical catalog when they came out so If you’ve ever handled one youll know how well made and luxurious they feel, despite being quartz. 0853 service below

I can picture myself positioning those watches on top of that cup..”ok ok its balance now ” lol props to you my friend

Wow! Cool collection and Damn you! That's all I need. A new class of watches to lust after. I'm a little scared of getting into mechanical vintage but for some reason battery powered vintage irrationally doesn't scare me.

Oh well, down another rabbit hole. At least it's slightly more affordable.

It is a rabbit hole but so many amazing watches out their and so much to choose from. Plus they were over engineered and built to last just find the cleanest example you can and you should be ok 👍

My one vintage quartz. And I love it. That said, getting it services has been a pain, as parts are getting harder and harder to come by.

Very nice collection,  I have an EL330 as well & a Grand Quartz 4843. Quartz/Electronic Balance/Tuning Fork watches are a great way to get into vintage for a relatively low cost!

I like the accutron, it has a hint of original Seamaster 300 or 62MAS…

I also have the Yema and just bought the Omega Seamaster Diver electric blue dial in Quartz as an everyday watch:
