As far as my knowledge goes, the Beside is a range of dressier watches specifically for the Asian market.
Similar to Casio having Sheen and Oceanus lineup’s.
There’s a few models in the Beside lineup but all seem somewhat limited or harder to come by (dependant on where you are in the world; UK for me so this range isn’t available here)
Ref for this is BEM-SL100-1ADF
I agree in part.. however, I’m not comparing them on face value or physically. Comparing them emotionally and the principles that surround them is subjectively different.
Your analogy works for many reasons, but again, how do you know you’d enjoy the 911 more?
One of my cars is an Abarth 500, I could have had something better built, faster, bigger or more expensive. But I couldn’t find anything that was as much fun for the roads I drive on. Again it’s subjective and specific to the scenario.
It’s a shame they didn’t stick with their more original designs, I have watches with applied indices, but for this one, I think it works much better without.
Especially as you say with the 24h inner scale too
My Baumé et Mercier riviera XL diver seems a pretty uncommon model, especially on a bracelet.
And I’m yet to see another owner of this dive model SQ100 from 1996
