Can anyone shed any light on this?

I haven’t taken the back off as of yet, it is fully working, non hacking and no quick date.

The manufacture name appears to be Frederick Shorn? Yet I cannot find any information regarding it..

Claims it is an ETA2772 movement on dial.

Anyone know anything?

When you hit a dead end on the internet widen your scope to jewelers and department stores. You seem to be given the location, although I am not sure which Coventry. My best guess is that it is a store brand for a defunct store.

I think the name is Frederick Thorn - the stylised script probably doesn't help. This is a tenous link but one of the images of the box shows details, it looks like that was a jewelers in Coventry and I know that certain places used to have their in-house people replace the face of a watch with their own spec one.

Hi, it's definitely Frederick Thorn.

It was a jeweler's in Coventry.

If memory serves me correctly the building is gone and it has been replaced by a shopping centre.

Date wise I'd say it is most likely 1970's. The ETA movement was produced late 1960's to early 1980's.

It has that 70s 'funk' going on as well, I picture that with a purple shirt with a massive collar, a porn-star moustache and flares! 🤣🤣

The clues were right on the dial.

Wow Thankyou everyone! A simple change of letter made all the difference, I’m not sure how I didn’t consider it was a T on the surname!
