I have been an avid fountain pen collector before watches entered my life
This fountain pen - MontBlanc's Thomas Mann Writer's Edition - was gifted to me by my parents when I was admitted as an Australian lawyer ๐ค
The watch does not bear any meaning like the pen but is a "fun" Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch paired with a rubber strap ๐
On a side note, I don't own any MontBlanc timepieces but gotta hastag somehow for the badge ๐

Now you need one of these to go with that pen...maybe when you are heading up your own law firm...

Nice timepieces! As for the law firm, I've had my own for a while, going to be 11th this year lol
I would wear a Moonswatch, even if I was the President of a sovereign state.
Oh yeah, I do and I am.. the Sovereign State of Buckyland, where the house I live in is called Buckingham Palace.
Montblanc and Omega ๐
Caran dโache and Squale ๐
Boheme Rouge and Ocean Star on trial notes.
I wonder how many total lawyers who collect watches and pens there are around here?
I have one of those I modified and put into a metal case.
I used to collect fountain pens (mainly) while working as I thought a architect should carry a nice writing instrument. Now I rarely use them since retirement but do still occassionally ink one.
PS: Like any collector, I got carried away and now have many nice pens boxes filled with pens/pencils that are rarely used these days.
Their recent watch releases have been pretty much on the mark. Iโve started strolling through the boutique to look at more than their pens
In your photo the pen is mightier than the watch.
Beautiful ๐ I have one of their ballpoint ones but your penmanship is exquisite
New addition, made in TX, WOE approved lol!
Who says you can't bring a little elegance when down in the dirt...๐๐ป๐ค๐ป๐ค๐ป.
Also a fan of the Mont Blanc pens. And also used to own a Montblanc Star Chrono: it was a truely lovely watch (and only gone from the collection because it was stolen).
I bought a Mont Blanc 149 because, just like a Submariner, itโs the one you โhave to have.โ I didnโt like it. It was just a black and gold pen. Much the way the Submariner is just a black dial, steel watch. I know thereโs history there, but I just couldnโt see the hype. I have since bought and sold a Namiki Enperor and a Pelican M1000. I love fountain pens. I think my most expensive now, though, is a Platinum 3776 amongst a sea of TWSBIs. ๐คฃ
Also, hereโs why I love watches and fountain pens. Because despite the analog nature of both of them and being technologies that should have been rendered obsolete years ago, they are still huge markets.
My brother has gone to Japan twice and bought me watches & pens. On his first trip, he got me a Seiko SARX055 and a Pilot Custom 743. Both of these were Japanese exclusives back then. On his second trip, he got me a Seiko SPB143 and a Pilot Vanishing Point.
Great post - itโs these memories that are truely special - Iโve got a few of these moonswatches and as you say - theyโre a nice bit of funโฆ๐ BTW - did you purchase the rubber strap locally?
