Omega Seamaster from 1964!

I first saw this beauty by last week, and by lots of thinking, I bought it last monday, the 17th april.

I loved it so much, and it made me sad to not have it so yeah.

It works wonderfully, only +5seconds a day, which is really amazing for a mechanical watch that's 59 years old.

It has a blue leather strap that i picked out, and oh boy does it make the dial more astounding <3

Should I get more vintage watches? Nah, I feel satisfied as of now, but never know what the future brings 😹

I do believe this is my absolute favorite watch, after the family heirloom.

I’ve got those 2 and the Longines is even more accurate at -2secs/day! Love them!

This was my dad’s wedding watch back in 1972. I love this watch. It’s away for a service these days, but I do love it. This has an integrated bracelet, but I have it off for now and have a custom leather band on it.

Beautiful. And with that history, priceless. How I wish I could find my father's watch. I have the sinking feeling he was buried with it on.

Style amidst simplicity and preportions based on pi always appeal . Using quality materials make these watches able to survive centuries if maintained and loved . What wonderful timepieces, congratulations on being their current caretaker :)

Beautiful on the cusp of modernism late century design ? Very much a beautifully preserved loved watch . Such a literal and memorable representation of your father’s sense of style and good taste . Wear it with a strong heart .

Sorry to hear that.

I'm hoping I can give it to one of my kids later, too, but none of them understands why I collect watches in the first place. They're happy with their Apple Watches. I only blame myself. Sigh...
