My most expensive watch.
This limited edition prospex Seiko Ginza is just stunning to look at.
How did I end up snagging one of the very LAST available ones in Norway? It was on a whim, as I saw someone having it and I became obsessed... The odd part is, I had sworn by start of Desember 2021 to not have any mechanic watches again, as I much prefer the lightweight, highly accurate and slim quartz ones. And the fact that mechanical ones need service lol.
Do I prefer Seikos own bracelets? No... They're either too tight or too loose for my skinny and spesific wrist. I'm currently using an amazing bracelet from StrapsCo. My watch maker asked StrapsCo to become a dealer because of me haha, and it worked, so he got it for me (he thought it looked awesome with the Ginza, and he was absolutely right!) and it actually fits my wrist perfectly!
As pictures show, it compliments my watch aswell!
I have worn this beauty alot at end of 2021 (like last week of 2021) and until half of feb 2022. I had to switch for a while due to waiting for a new bracelet that fits me well. It has EVERYTHING I need, and the lume is just amazing. Lasts me for maybe 10+ hours.
I am now going to wear it alot again as I now have a bracelet that I am comfortable with haha.
Do I reccomend the alpinist Ginza? Definitively!

No cause prices they hyp price over there
Lovely watch! Saw it shortly before the launch and then lost track of it. Really debating whether to pay the current premium price for that sublime dial. Enjoy your watch, great buy!!😊

I enjoy it every day, and I actually struggle to choose to wear something else lol. I am planning to save up for a GS one day, as I want a spring-drive~
I call it the Gion - the pavestones in Gion Kyoto look exactly like the dial and it's an iconic and ancient neighborhood. I believe all Japanese traditional roads were this pattern but Ginza these days is mostly like a crazy clean and polite 4 lane Rodeo drive.
I was too late when I first noticed this watch. Been sold out almost everywhere and had a higher than MSRP now in the secondary market. One of the most beautiful and intriguing dial. Would be perfect if there is no date at 3, or date window at 6.
That is the most beautiful dial I have ever seen on any watch at any price. Thank you for posting that lovely photo. It's a limited edition too, but I'm glad you were able to snag one.
But you do seem a little disappointed with the movement. As far as I'm concerned, Seiko could reissue this watch with NO MOVEMENT AT ALL, set the hands at 10:10, and I would buy it.
Was able to get this below MSRP when it was released and immediately pulled the trigger. Unfortunaty, i had to sell it triple after 6 months to support my wedding funds. I sometimes missed the mesmerizing dial of this one.
