I was going through my watch boxes doing a little rearranging and it hit me…. Almost all of my watches have indices, not numbers.
Sure there are a few but they’re definitely the minority.
This wasn’t a conscious decision and it surprised me.
What if anything has caught you by surprise about your collection of watches?

Thank you!
I keep finding or buying beige/gold dials. But if asked, I’d say I like colours.
Majority of my watches have complications or additional functions. I think that makes me an unintentional tool watch guy. Who knew? 🤷🏼♂️
Gorgeous art deco pieces in there
I have ended up with mostly dive-style watches which tend to have Indices instead of numbers but given a choice I think I'd prefer the numbers.
I'm surprised how much black resin is in there every time I look at it. Aside, totally agree with your unconscious appreciation for indices
Wonderful collection! I love those watch winders too. ❤️
Same with indices and nearly all of my watches are on leather strap
Nothing as I plan everything very very strategic. No chance for surprises 🫡😅😅😂😂 I think for me it was when I have realized that all these years I was not as happy with my collection as I am know. I get rid of literally evey genre and only collect elegant sportswatches like the OP/AT style. The surprise was that I wasn‘t aware about that before and I was flipping back and forth.

I prefer leather straps too
Those Rado's are awesome 👌

Oh right!! And also, most of mine end up in bracelet, but still I’d prefer strap!!
It wasn't until after I had them that I realized my entire collection of analog watches have basically a plain old 12/24hr style field watch dial. It's all marathon uses, which I have three of, and it's on my Khaki Auto. Everything else I own is a gshock.
Always thought I wanted and needed a date. Over half of my watches don’t have dates and I love the symmetry that often brings
I'm the exact opposite, I have about 95 % watches with number dials. I'm a little concerned I'm missing out but I have a definite preference.
