Junghans uses plexiglass in a lot of the Max Bill watches.
Certina use hesalite on their ds200ph range of dive watches.
Many brands do. It won't shatter, is easy to buff out signs of wear if it bothers you,and looks better than sapphire or mineral.
Lorier is first that comes to mind for me!
Vostok still use plenty of lucite crystals.
My sinn 356 also does use a plexiglass crystal
These are different commercial names for PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate), aka acrylic.
