Timex Sub Collection

Have I gone too far? I now have a box for just Timex watches. I have decided there will be 12 eventually. I am liking the idea of having this collection within my collection. I even think I may in the future add other sub collections. I am really enjoying what Timex is offering lately as well as my dad always wore one. Is there a brand, movement, color, or something else that you collect only or have or could have a sub collection of? Love to hear what and why as well as any comments on this collection. Also please share your favorite Timex. 😎

I, too, love what they are doing. That Marlin and those Reissues are dope. I say this a lot about this brand, they can pull off "heritage" and reissue catalogue watches" very well becuase they have the true pedigree. While the other brands are just faking that they can "do retro".

Thanks for commenting. You are off to a great start!

I think this happens to a lot of collectors. You go down a rabbit hole with a specific brand (or type of watch) then return to different brands. It's very cool.

·

I have three Timex kicking around now. I think they are an under appreciated brand and a great value.

try their mechanical field watches...

Thanks, I'll check them out. Is there one or a few you especially think deserve a look?

Timex is great and well worth having in a collection. I have a few myself. A sub-collection, though? 12 of them?? Seriously, what are we doing here, people? 😂

I trimmed my collection down to 20 and I'm still trying to figure how to cut it down to less. I just can't wear all these g-damn watches! 😭

Nice! My fave timex that I have is my digital Ironman,

Best lap timer I've experienced and a super loud and obnoxious alarm.

Yeah I know, for a lot of people 12 is more than they want or have, so a sub collection of 12 is bat shi_ crazy. I have so many watches already though and I can see possibly selling or trading some in the future. For the next 5 years or so it's just going to be huge. I have acquired what I have in about 3 years and I am slowing down now. I have most everything I wanted. ( But still hear the voices 🥺) I went with a large collection rather than a couple of Rolex watches. It is just more me. I enjoy the variety and wouldn't be comfortable wearing something that expensive on my wrist. Trying to wear them all is the only problem I yet to find a great answer for. I usually change into another watch in the afternoon and/or early evening. 😀

I collect timex too! My grand father always wore one, so I have that attachment. And I agree with you: they are doing great things right now!

I’ve got an easy reader, brand new. It’s so loud when it ticks……

If you want it, let me know. You can add it to your collection.

Oh my hearing isn't very good so I wouldn't notice. It's so clean & basic + has the Indigo too. I think it's really nice. If you are giving it away there are many people that would get more wear out of it than I would though. I have a preorder watch coming but I am not buying anything until after taxes now.

Love the Pro diver sub collection! I know you're into vintage. Do you have a sub collection of those as well? I want my collection to be interesting, fun, and seriously cool. I think you my friend do that very well. 🤙

Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate that. I do have a sub-collection of vintage pieces, but don't have a nice pic of them like my divers. 😉

Don't feel bad. I have a box for non vintage Timex and one for vintage

Wow you found yourself a rare gem there. And it looks in perfect condition very well taken care of.

I love your Waterbury. Are those applied indices? I bought and returned a black one recently because the lettering was painted with very thin letters and it was very flat-looking... Yours appears to have more depth.😀

They are definitely applied. Not sure if you can tell from pics but I tried. 🧐

Numerals look fantastic! I really like the green second hand with the W on it, too. Your panda Marlin and the Q are also stunning.
