Show & Tell - Your Favorite Seiko

This arrived today. I saw a picture of it on Monday and tracked it down. It was a must have for me. Instantly my favorite Seiko. It is a 30th anniversary World Time with an alarm. There are 3 other versions made but this gold version is the one that gets to me. Interested to see your thoughts and see your favorite Seiko. Cheers!

This SNKP21J1. I saw it on the Watches of Espionage Instagram and immediately wanted it. I taught myself Arabic while overseas and the first thing I learned was the numbers. I connected with it instantly and swapped the movement for an NH36 and the date wheel for lumed Arabic dates.

Gotta be my SPB319 with the Arita porcelain dial. To call it a milky texture is spot on. Also the way the blue changes from almost white to vibrant blue in the right light makes it my favorite and only seiko

That is so nice! I would be switching out straps all the time for different looks.

Thanks! I like to keep mine on leather straps. I showed it to a work buddy and he got the same one, he has a nice green and grey NATO for it.

I got it in pretty decent shape save for some dirt and a chipped crystal. I cleaned it up, put in a new battery, and upgraded the crystal to a sapphire one. I still have the original crystal just in case a buyer would want that. The movement was super clean and everything worked, which seems to be pretty uncommon on a lot of the ones I’ve come across.

The 7a38 is the first quartz chronograph with a day and date complication. It’s a super cool watch with a ton of neat Seiko history. They definitely seem to have taken some inspiration from the Royal Oak when making it.

Love it. Its got all that cool Seiko chronograph history while being enough off the beaten path of vintage Seiko to be unique!

SPB143 is my first, favorite and only Seiko.

I have a couple of favorite Seikos.

This one is in my daily driver box. It's a great size for unobtrusive wearing, has a day/date, and very legible at a glance:

This one I like because it's analog yet has an alarm and delicate features. I ordered a new crystal for it and am going to polish up the case a bit:

As usual very good taste and style presented with interesting dialogue!

Two complete winners. Seiko doesn't have many duff looking watches, which is absolutely remarkable considering the thousands of different models they've made over the years.

I think the Neo-Classic Quartz line (pretty much any Seiko with an SGE prefix) is the early 2000s equivalent of these, and will also be very desirable in 30-40 years.

There are two perfect Seikos for those who want an elegant, low cost, low maintenance dress watch. One is the Seiko SUP873P1, which I have. The other one is your watch.
