NH35 project ORANGE

Did a DIY kit before, but my first attempt with parts sourced from AliX. I think I liked the orange more than I thought about the shapes of the hands. Happy to hear whatever you all think!

Congratulations. Looks great. It has an awesome back story in that you assembled it yourself.

Like it. I'm into a little pop of colour on the hands too.

Badass... I've just gotten into the Seiko modding world with a routine bezel replacement on my SRPD. Definitely considering a full custom build with AE parts now! Which stores did you go through, and how does it compare to factory stock in your opinion?

Nice watch and congrats for the first steps on watchmaking/modding. 👍

Did you disassembled/serviced movement?

If don't, think in that as a next step on your journey. 😉

Orange and watches. Perfect together. A little splash of color takes it to another level.

Miuksi store, saw positive feedback in other forums about their movements, really liked the dial. It came packed and prepared in a really professional manner, I was happy with everything I ordered and budget friendly. Ali is a complex marketplace, I certainly was intimidated by it at first. I forgot where I saw this advice for beginners on watch components, but staying inside the same store and confirming with them if everything I ordered was compatible was helpful. I'm sure micros celebrated and loved by many are using the same production lines and sources you can find there. Not to say everything will have the same consistency and QC though.
