Share your GMT collection and how do use the function?

I love the GMT complication. The ability to show 2 or 3 time zones. I mostly use it to keep track day-night to make sure I don’t wind the watch at wrong time. Show your GMT watches..

I live in the Midwest but I'm from California so I keep my GMT hand at Pacific Coast time. When I go to Istanbul next month I'll use it to keep time for my home for meetings I might have to attend virtually.

My GMT ⌚ has the international hand set on Tokyo because I have good friends there and one hour less in Shanghai.

I have called and messaged them enough to do the calculation mentally, but it is the one zone that has most meaning to me.

The #sanmartin is a caller GMT, but the #seiko is a traveller's GMT ⌚.

The color motif on the #seiko SARF012 dial is not my favorite, but it is a titanium integrated bracelet.

My next and last GMT will be the #grandseiko SBGM221.

I love the purity and simplicity of that ⌚, but I am ready to graduate to world time ⌚.

Otherwise, GMT ⌚ are good because they are not as thick as chronographs and can be both functional while traveling while having the potential to be dressy too.

I don’t use the GMT complication, I just like the look and have them all set to local time 🤣🤣🤣

·

I only have one. Tracking time in Asia where I have family. So, there is a purpose to my madness.

Mine, used for holidays mainly.

Use them both for UTC. Necessary for job, but I'm still on the hunt for a good 3-timezone analog watch... I just don't want to use my phone!

Nice one Vivek!

Can't say I always use my GMTs when wearing them. I can get a bit sloppy about setting the GMT hand (that's why I really really NEED that Parmigiani Rattrapante GMT...now I just need to convince my wife 😉).

Here's what's in the collection (or as many I can find in the database)...

I look at GMT hand when I don’t need to know exact time, like doing nothing at camp site, like right now😁

My thoughts exaclty when I got to the end of your images. "That's it, I believe he has more GMTs than this" 😉

Love that Glycine, been dying to get my hands on one. Nice collection!

I have family in Genoa, Italy 🇮🇹. I'll step out on the plank and admit I just like seeing a fourth hand and when I travel being able to track two time zones sounds cool but your mind works just as fast as the GMT.

Surely some that do business in multiple time zones use the functionality. For me it looks cool and adds another dimension to the watch.

Thanks! I love the "pumpkin" it's such a cool watch.

There's also a vintage Movado chronograph that has a pumpkin-type dial that is awesome, but I have not been able to find one for sale...

Great collection of GMTs Danilo!

I didn't realize you were a paisan. My family was from Sicily.

I was born in Vicenza but spent most of my life in Genoa until we moved to Detroit when I was 16/17. Thank you Mel, really appreciate that coming from you.

Mom and I a few weeks ago at my granddaughters birthday party.

Flew into Aviano a few times on "hops". As I was born in Vicenza. My father was American, mom Italian. Had to move to Detroit after my father retired from the Military, couldn't get work there post his service period.

Thank you for your service 🫡.
