This was not planned....
Went into Watches of Switzerland yesterday with every intention of getting a Doxa Sub 200.
With huge disappointment they had none in stock, like any self confessed Watch geek, spent the next hour or so admiring the beautiful selection they had in stock.
My eyes 👀 were being drawn to the Grand Seiko cabinet.
Have always been a Grand Seiko fan boy, one of my grails is the Omiwatari which at the moment out of my price bracket. Something which did however tickle my fancy was this beauty.
This is the entry level GS 9F Quartz, and boy have I never been happier, may the Honeymoon last forever!

I would (and will one day) get the quartz over the mechanical every day. The dial looks great, on photos online looks plain, yours looks amazing !

Honestly pics do not do these watches justice, IRL they are stunning 😍
I can relate. I once went into the dealership for an E-Class but that Maybach kept eyeing me.
Welcome to the 9F quartz club.
This is a very good watch to buy. It is practical because it is accurate af and very versatile. I have the same watch with a different dial and I still like it as much as the day I got it 😉

GS makes a stunning watch, in my opinion. Great choice. I think you can brag a bit about the accuracy of the 9F movement as well.

+ or - 10 secs a year will be something I definitely boast about!
I look at the watch for the time, become engrossed in the details for 5 mins then realise don't even know what that time is🤷
Very nice. Almost looks grey in the sunlight. How are you getting on with the bracelet? Have you managed to size it correctly? Definitely need to get one of these at some point as the daily.

In the Sun at times can look slightly grey, turn the dial slightly and jet black 🖤
Had 4 links removed which seems to work for me, no doubt in the Winter may have to take out an additional half link, do wish the bracelet had micro adjust.
But I don't neeeeeed it 😫
