New Oris Aquis

Can I just say the new Oris Aquis New York Harbor Limited Edition looks sooooo gorgeous in the press photos? It even has a mother of pearl dial to match with its Billion Oyster Project theme! Can't wait to see the real thing in person!

I’ve always been looking for a diver, seems like this will be a good candidate…

Also at 41.5mm I think it’s a good size

And it also provides a steel bracelet!

Wish they used the Caliber 400 in this watch. I want a Caliber 400, but my two favorite Oris models right now are the cherry red Aquis with the relief bezel and this LE, but neither use the new movement. I already have a Sellita-based Big Crown Pointer Date, so if I'm going to get another Oris it will have to have the upgraded movement in it.

Hmmm, good point. Not sure how Oris decides what movement to put into their Aquises (?). Maybe they want this model to be relatively more affordable in order to promote their eco-friendly cause, just like the Aquis Upcycle.

The Upcycle is another watch I was interested in! Might have bought that if they put the new movement in it. I guess Oris is saving me some money by going with the 3rd party movements on these.

Maybe Oris thinks the movement doesn’t matter too much if the dial is good enough 😂😂😂

That green dial reminds me of the water color in NY Harbor.
