Kurono Tokyo Chronograph

I’ve previously owned a Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope, but I sold it because the silvery dial looked huge on my 6” wrist. Since then I have always been looking for a smaller but also dressy-ish chronograph.

I have just received this Kurono Tokyo Chronograph and I really love what I see. It’s light and looks better proportioned on my wrist. And the shade of green on the dial is sooooo unique! It is a unique shade of green with a subtle sheen and texture to it. (Somehow I am really liking green watches and this is my second green watch, after the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date in bronze.) Perhaps one thing that I might complain about is the date — I feel the dial will look better without one, but the date is not that obtrusive anyway to me anyway and it’s functional.

One thing I’m really surprised to see is within the HUGE and fancy packaging there is one small velvety pouch, and inside there is one piece of the jade stone that inspired the dial! To be honest the jade stone is of a paler hue than the dial itself, but I think including this is a really nice touch.

So far I’m already really loving this watch! Looking forward to wearing it around in the future. 😀

Definitely look out for their new releases!

Beautiful! Glad to see some crunchers were able to get it. How do you feel about the thickness? I really wanted it but that was my biggest turn off since I have small wrists.

I do think it is not too thick given it’s an automatic chronograph with an NE86 movement, which is quite thick by itself. And it doesn’t feel top-heavy on my wrist either.
