It's almost like most people commenting didn't actually watch the video/missed/purposely ignored the parts where he explains his rationale.

I dunno...I think the steering wheel shot or the lap/crotch shot with the watch slightly out of focus does a pretty accurate job of displaying the size of the watch. 😂

The same G-Shock for nearly 20 years. Only to time intra-set rest periods, never for actually telling the time. I look at the wall clock for that.

That 15% may nag at you and tug at your subconscious over time.

I think that is relative to one's finances and/or one's level of degeneracy. For me, I'm figuring out a way to justify (read: use convoluted "logic" and "reasoning") a Zeitwerk.

Very nice, but I highly recommend getting/using spacers, otherwise you run a huge risk of damaging your watches

Your arguments are uninformed. The "Mercedes hands" are what others started to call it, not Rolex, and it has nothing to do with the car company. It was likely a specific design choice based on longevity/strength needed for the lume fill. Also, the Apple logo was a specific design choice based on clearly differentiating the apple logo (actually it's second iteration from the original Isaac Newton one) from being mistaken as a cherry. Hence my statement stands that if Rolex comes out and explains why they intentionally have two bubbles of the same color touching each other, then it would be a design choice rather than in my opinion an unintentional aesthetic flaw as I had mentioned.

Regardless, I don't care a huge amount about it as it's not a deal breaker and only mentioned that it is something that I cannot unsee once seen. You do you and I'll do me. I'm disengaging since I feel that this may devolve or become unproductive.

Cheers! 🍺
